I know it is August, but this post is about my July IPSY Glam Bag. I should have had my bag two-ish weeks ago, but it was stolen in the mail. All that arrived at my house was a sad, empty pink shipper.
Thankfully, the IPSY customer care team is amazing! I emailed them and they answered within five hours, assuring me that they would replace the missing bag at no charge. How great is that?
So today when I came home and saw my bulging pink mailer in my mail box, I was way too excited to wait until tomorrow to post this. Well, and because I plan on spending the day deep cleaning my bedroom.
I love the July bag! It has such fun colors and is sort of like tribal zig-zag pattern.
The first thing I pulled out of my bag made me ridiculously happy: Marc Anthony’s Oil of Morocco Argan oil hairspray. I received this in the only Birchbox I ever received and absolutely loved it. I had completely forgotten about it but, it is a sign that I got it this month. I know I need to order a couple of full size bottles. This hairspray has amazing hold without leaving really gross residue or flakes in your hair. Plus, it doesn’t smell like your typical drugstore hairspray. The packaging is sturdy, too. My last bottle held up being in my backpack all semester.
The next item I pulled out was an eyeshadow palette by NickaK New York. I have never heard of this company before, but I really like the colors in it and that they are shimmers. They are colors I use frequently. The packaging is fragile and was actually broken when I pulled it out. However, it is rather cute. I also dropped it off my porch on my way in my house and it didn’t break – so points for that. The formula is rather thick and hard to blend.
The product that interests me the most from July’s bag is Be a Bombshell Cosmetics. I got lip calm in the shade ruby. I like the consistency of this product and that it has a sheer red tint. It is moisturizing, but not to the point of being slimy. This will be going in my book bag for sure to give a nice tint to my lips at school.
I’m very interested in the exfoliating face cleanser by Vasanti. It smells so amazing! The exfoliation part of the face wash is very gentle. I think I might start incorporating this into my bi-weekly exfoliating routine.
The last product in my bag is gorgeous! I am going to paint my toes as soon as I get this posted. I got the Essie nail polish in the shade Fashion Playground. It is a shimmery minty green. Perfect for summer! It would also pair well with a dark grey or navy for winter or fall.
I love my IPSY bag! It’s one of my favorite things I have subscribed to. If you want to take the quiz and grab your own, click here!
