I remember my first day of college like it was yesterday. I went to junior college and the transferred to a four year university. I had a scholarship at my junior college and it covered all of my general classes. Which was cool. It was a completely different experience from my four year university experience.
Working in retail is something I truly love. Don’t get me wrong, like any job some days suck, some days I don’t want to go to work, and some days customers just make me want to scream. But overall, I love it.
One of the reasons I’m currently loving retail work is helping people with their back to school shopping. It was always one of my favorite parts of the school year and it is definitely the part I miss the most.
I’m pretty much permanently dehydrated thanks to some thrilling medicine I have to be on – fun, right? Prior to this medical requirement, I maybe drank one or two bottles a day. And that was if I had sports or some other outside activity to endure. Since this medical requirement, I have been come the poster child for Hydrate Anonymous. Continue reading
I failed Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I set myself a goal and I did not even come close to completing it.
The goal? A two day veggie and juice reset. I’ve been feeling sluggish lately and thought this might be a good way to help kick start my body out of the funk. Wednesday night I went to the store and stocked up on fresh fruits, veggies, and various cold pressed juices. My goal was to drink three different green juices, two other juices, and punctuate those with meals and snack consisting completely of fruits and veggies.

I’ve been so stressed out and ran down after switching to full time hours that I just decided to take a break. I focused on me – sleeping plenty and often was my main focus. I’m feeling much better and way more motivated going in to July.
I am so thankful for all of my extra free time this month! I’m going to use it to really focus on me and getting my life in order.
I have been doing really well the last few weeks on meal prepping and healthier snacking habits. But, I have been slacking in other areas. For instance, I haven’t been getting enough sleep, reading any, or working on learning Spanish any. Continue reading
I’m in the habit of switching Netflix on whenever I’m cleaning or cooking. It gives me an opportunity to catch up on shows or, in this case, become obsessed and binge a new-to-me show.
At the beginning of the month I was tired of the same shows and nothing new on Netflix was really interesting me. In a moment of television desperation, I clicked on Kevin Bacon’s smirking face and began The Following. The Following follows FBI agent Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon) as he spirals in and out of control.
The first season revolves around Ryan’s quest to catch illustrious serial killer Joe Carrel and has heavy Edgar Allan Poe theme. No spoilers, but I quickly became hooked and finished all of the episodes on Netflix (aka, all three seasons).
I wanted more of an endurance workout and let me tell you, my arms are so freaking sore.
Have you watched the following? What do you think about it? What’s your go to arm or ab workout?
